Here are a few highlights

There is nothing like a personal tour of the area with Judy who has lived and worked here for over 30 years. She shows you all the great out of the way spots, hidden neighborhoods with marsh and ocean views, private lanes and by-ways - all the interesting places.

Marshfield is many things to many people. In this one town an incredible variety of natural beauty can be found. There are wooded hills with ocean vistas in the northern part of town leading to the nearby beaches and coastal marshlands. The Union Street area, the western boundary from Norwell and Pembroke is a state designated scenic road where beautiful stone enclosed meadows and fields abound in a decidedly pastoral setting. The town pier at Green Harbor, home to hundreds of fishermen and pleasure boats is definitely a New England Coastal scene. The North River, South River and Two Mile Creek wind their way through town with marshlands and hidden wooded glades.

Some think of Marshfield as their summer holiday at the beach. For others it is their New England farm near the river. And for some it is their tranquil retreat on an island. Marshfield is truly a diverse and interesting community.

Marshfield was settled in 1640 and is rich in Colonial history. "Marshfield - A Town of Villages 1640 - 1990" by Cynthia Hagar Krusell is a wonderful history to read. It is available for sale at local book stores and the town library.

Judy is well versed in town history and includes the local folklore as you explore.
